Intake manifold and boost pressure sensors are located in the vehicle's intake tract and measure the air pressure. The intake manifold pressure sensor measures the intake manifold vacuum prevailing in the intake manifold after the throttle valve and the boost pressure sensor measures the absolute pressure of the intake air before the throttle valve. The sensors transmit the determined values to the engine control unit.
